*Reminder: You CANNOT go to your city's permit center with this document until you have a guaranteed job, and your employer fills out the promise of employment section.

How to Obtain your Work permit:

 

Anyone between the ages of 14-17 are considered minors, therefore, you need a workers permit to be able to work.

There are a few steps that you must follow in order to obtain your permit. Follow the steps below:

 

Step 1: First, you must be offered a job by an employer.

 

Step 2: The employer must give you the Permit Application. The employer must fill out the Promise of Employment Section.

 

Step 3: If you are 14-15 years old, your physician must complete the certificate of health section. Your parents must sign it as well. If you are 16-17 years old, all you need is your parents' signature.

 

Step 4: Once you have obtained all of the necessary signatures, you can now head to your designated center for work permits in your city with proof of age and ID to receive your Work Permit.

 

Step 5: Once you receive your Work Permit, make sure to hand it in to the employer so you can begin working as soon as possible.
